As I've progressed through my apprenticeship, my passion for the industry has only grown. I'm constantly inspired by new trends, bold creativity, and the confidence that great hair can give someone. I especially love creating edgy cuts, dramatic colour transformations, and looks that make a statement.

For me, hairdressing is all about creativity, self-expression, and helping people feel like the best version of themselves. I love pushing boundaries, trying new techniques, and bringing my clients' vision to life.

When I'm not behind the chair, you'll find me hanging out with friends and family, discovering new music, and finding inspiration everywhere I go.

Hello there, I am Tom.  With over 24 years of experience in the hair industry, I've been fortunate to build a successful career in Brisbane before spending the last decade working in New York. I'm now thrilled to call Yeppoon home once again.

I'm also passionate about giving back to the industry that has given me so much. As part of my return to the Capricorn Coast, I'll be mentoring and training the next generation of apprentices, sharing the skills, knowledge, and experience I've gained over more than two decades to help develop the region's future hairdressing talent.

Hi, I'm Amanda! While I'm not a hairdresser myself, I wear a few different hats, both professionally and personally.

I'm often the first person you'll speak to when booking an appointment, and I'm usually working behind the scenes to keep both Salty Scissors and Sauna & Chill running smoothly. From welcoming clients and coordinating appointments to managing our social media and supporting our incredible team, I love bringing all the moving pieces together.

Creating a warm, welcoming experience is something I'm truly passionate about. I love supporting our talented stylists so they can focus on what they do best, while ensuring every client feels valued, cared for, and looked after from the moment they walk through our doors.

Being part of two businesses dedicated to helping people look and feel their best is something I genuinely love. Building relationships with our clients and playing a part in creating an experience that leaves them feeling relaxed, confident, and cared for is incredibly rewarding.

Outside of the salon you'll often find me at CQ running events, at the motocross club, or volunteering in my role as Event Director for Yeppoon parkrun. Health, fitness, and wellbeing have been a huge part of my life for the past 15 years, and with a sporty family, we're always on the go. Needless to say, we definitely make the most of having a sauna and ice bath right here at our fingertips!

Hair has always been my passion. From begging to braid my friends' and family's hair as a little girl to now getting to live that dream every day, I've always known this is what I was meant to do.
